Spirals & the Golden Mean
My background interest in geometry and my observation of natural objects to draw and paint has recently come together. I have developed an interest in trying to draw and paint nature's spirals using geometric constructions. I identify and find examples from nature, classical architecture and celtic stonework, metal work and jewellery.
I draw them using my handmade Phi dividers and callipers. These allow me to measure the geometric proportions of the Golden Ratio.
All measurements are in centimetres.
